The Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation was founded by Ginny and Kerry Dennehy after losing their son Kelty to depression in 2001. Over the years the foundation has raised nearly 7 million dollars for a variety of projects geared at providing mental health treatment to young people in British Columbia. By funding several mental health resource centers, the Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation has developed a mental health community and addressed barriers and stigma surrounding mental health.
