The Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation was founded by Ginny and Kerry Dennehy after losing their son Kelty to depression in 2001. Over the years the foundation has raised nearly 7 million dollars for a variety of projects geared at providing mental health treatment to young people in British Columbia. By funding several mental health resource centers, the Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation has developed a mental health community and addressed barriers and stigma surrounding mental health. To open the mental health community further, and reach people digitally, the foundation has joined Vancouver Coastal Health to create Kelty’s Key: VCH Online Therapy Service.
