Who We Are

Located in Vancouver, Canada, a diverse group has come together to create Kelty’s Key. Our team includes clinicians, researchers, designers, and technologists. Working together, we aim to break down barriers. If you are struggling with your mental health, we want you to get the help you need. We aim to provide you with a free, well-researched tool that can help you feel better anytime, anywhere.

We are publicly funded by Vancouver Coastal Health.

Our Story

Kelty’s Key is the product of collaboration. In 2014, Vancouver Coastal Health, the Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation, and the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation came together with an idea. They wanted to bring online therapy to public health. Email therapy would increase access to care and help decrease wait times. Beyond that, Kelty’s Key materials wouldn’t be hidden. Self-help resources would be available to those living outside our service area.

For many therapists, online therapy is a new form of treatment. To support our clinicians, Kelty’s Key began creating a training program. This work is generously funded in part by the RBC Foundation.
